The Flamingo

The Flamingo slowly raised his head, water still dripping from his beak. More birds were arriving. He eagerly watched them, wondering if he would find a mate among them.

I took the original photograph at The Oasis Park in Fuerteventura. The park is so huge that you need two days to take it all in. When we went we were sadly unable to go round the beautiful cactus gardens as my mobility scooter couldn’t take it. We just made it back to the entrance when the battery died! Luckily, Ian could fetch the car and drive right up to where I sat waiting! If you ever visit Fuerteventura, then the park should be on your ‘must visit’ list!
