Perhaps the butterfly is proof that you can go through a great deal of darkness, yet become something beautiful.
The original photograph was actually taken by my husband, Ian. It was taken back in 2010 on a lovely spring morning in the orchard of our lovely home in Norfolk. The original photo was rather pale but I loved the composition and wanted to create something beautiful and more dramatic. I used several completely different types of textures and overlays, from a beautiful pastel through to a couple of real grungy textures, some vintage handwriting and then on to a couple of nebular photos and yet another abstract overlay to bring in certain light.
