Lochgilphead, Scotland

The weak afternoon sun was just penetrating through the ominous black clouds, sparkling on the calm waters of the loch, and dazzling the photographer through her view finder, while bringing a beautiful vibrancy to the wild flowers around her.
The original photograph was taken whilst hubby and I were on a photographic holiday in Scotland back in 2013. Unfortunately the weather was atrocious, pouring with rain every single day. Thankfully, there were some gaps throughout each day where the rain stopped and we could quickly take photos. When shooting into the sun you have to be very careful that the brightness does not wash out all the detail and the image become a white blob. Hence the reason for my underexposing the photograph, and then in the Lightroom bringing back the detail and vibrance that we saw with our own eyes on the day.
