Swan Lake

Swan Lake - Painting of Swans

The early evening sun shone through their wings, making each droplet of water sparkle as they reared out of the water, spreading and flapping their wings and showing off their prowess.

It was back in November 2008 when we took a trip to Welney Wetland Centre in Norfolk. During the winter thousands of swans flock to the area, and at dusk they all rally around for the Trust centre to feed them. The centre is well organised for viewing, with an enclosed viewing area, which is open at the front so as not to spoil your view. It was bitterly cold, but well worth the visit to see the wonderful sight of so many birds.
